What is an e-bike?
Electric bicycles, also known as “e-bikes,” use rechargeable batteries that can travel around 15-28 miles per hour.
Why buy an e-bike?
An electric bike can be used for more than just adventures. You can use it to carry groceries or your kids – without breaking a sweat. It is more fun, healthier, and less expensive than driving!
Electric bikes are divided into three classes that denote their level of motor assistance. Figuring out which class of e-bike you need is important:
The motor kicks in only when you pedal, and stops helping at 20 mph
Also has a pedal-assist mode up to 20 mph plus a purely throttle-powered mode
Is solely pedal-assist (like class 1), but assistance continues until you hit 28 mp

There are several factors to consider like what terrain will you be riding it in, what do you want to carry, how far do you want to travel?
