Peninsula Clean Energy Notice of 2018 Rate Adjustments

REDWOOD CITY, CA March 15, 2018 – Peninsula Clean Energy is maintaining its 5% discount on electricity generation for its ECOplus customers in 2018. Peninsula Clean Energy estimates that this discount saves customers approximately $17 million per year across San Mateo County. Peninsula Clean Energy is also increasing the percentage of clean greenhouse gas-free electricity in its ECOplus product to 85%.

“We are committed to delivering cleaner, greener electricity at lower rates for our customers,” stated Peninsula Clean Energy CEO Jan Pepper.

PG&E enacted its annual rate adjustments on March 1st, 2018. Peninsula Clean Energy adjusted its rates in response on March 15th to maintain its 5% discount for ECOplus compared to PG&E’s rates on the electricity generation portion of customer bills. For Peninsula Clean Energy’s complete rate schedule as of March 15th 2018 as well as a video on understanding your energy bill, see www.peninsulacleanenergy.com/residents.

Due to PG&E’s overall rate increases, customers may see higher bills for the same energy usage. To learn more about how to reduce your energy bill, see the Peninsula Clean Energy web page referring customers to energy efficiency and discount programs at www.peninsulacleanenergy.com/discounts.
