Test Drive an Electric Car at Free Events This Summer

Curious about what it’s like to drive an electric vehicle? Get behind the wheel and experience the fast, fun, smooth ride for yourself at one of Peninsula Clean Energy’s free electric vehicle (EV) test drive events this summer. Try out the latest models, get information in a sales-free environment, and win free food and prizes!

The first 100 participants at each event will get a free food voucher at one of the food trucks/stands available on site at each community festival. Additionally, all participants get one raffle ticket per test drive to be entered to win an iPad and other prizes.

Bring your valid driver’s license and join us at one of the following events:
  • Saturday, August 17 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Facebook Island Vibes Festival in Menlo Park
  • Sunday, August 18 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Burlingame on the Avenue in Downtown Burlingame
  • Saturday, August 24 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Foster City Summer Days in Foster City
  • Tuesday, September 10 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on the corner of Winslow Street and Hamilton Street in Downtown Redwood City

With federal, state, and local incentives that save you thousands of dollars, now is the time to go electric! Driving electric could also save you up to $1,200 a year on maintenance and fueling costs compared to the average gas car. Learn more about savings, incentives, and events at www.peninsulacleanenergy.com/ev.

The summer fun continues on Twitter where you can also win prizes now through August 24th. Post to hashtag #PCEGoElectric and ell us what “going electric” means to you or your family. Have you already made the switch from fossil fuels to clean electricity in your home or on your commute? Whether you switched to an electric stove, clothes drier, hot water heater, car, scooter, or even to riding an electric bus, tell us about it and we’ll enter you in the contest.
