Hourly Flex Pricing

Save Money by Shifting Your Energy Use

The Hourly Flex Pricing pilot program allows customers to save by shifting energy use to times when it’s more plentiful and cheaper. Automated technology helps pass those cost savings on to you.

Program Details

How the Hourly Flex Pricing program works

Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE) is partnering with PG&E to offer this program to eligible residential and commercial customers. PG&E administers the program and provides performance reports, while PCE offers generation credits on customer bills.

The automated services help devices to optimize your usage for maximum savings, allowing you to sit back and let the program go to work. Your smart appliances can track the hourly electricity prices that change throughout the day and adjust accordingly, reducing your bills by shifting energy usage from high-cost hours into low-cost hours.

If enrolled, you’ll remain on your existing rate schedule and will be billed as normal. At the end of each 12-month period, you may receive credits based on how well you respond to pricing signals.

The pilot runs through December 31, 2027, and you may opt out at any time.
