Small Business Bill Credit
STATUS: The program is closed for applications. Any applications and credits currently in process should be completed by March 2021.
Many small businesses throughout San Mateo County have been struggling financially since ‘Shelter-in-Place’ orders first began in March of 2020. To support local economic recovery from COVID-19, we were authorized to offer a $250 credit on electricity bills for qualifying small business customers. Bill credits were limited to the first 6,000 respondents. The deadline for applying for the credit was December 31, 2020.
Qualifying small business customers should have received a letter mailed from us in September with instructions on how to complete the application for the bill credit. We have also sent this information by email to those customers for whom we have email addresses. The letter included a unique ID needed for the application:
Upon validation that your application is complete, a $250 bill credit will be issued on the Peninsula Clean Energy portion of your bill within the next 1-2 months.
Qualifications
In order to receive the $250 bill credit, you must:
be on an A1, B1, A6, or B6 electricity rate plan (as noted on your PG&E/Peninsula Clean Energy electricity bill) & have a total of 2 or fewer electricity accounts, where the second account is not a large electric service
