Decarbonization programs for local government

Getting government buildings and vehicle fleets to zero emissions

Peninsula Clean Energy provides financial, technical, and planning resource, as well as project coordination for local government, public agencies, and school districts to reduce carbon emissions and move to clean energy.

Solar + battery backup

GovPV helps government agencies and schools install solar + battery backup with no capital outlay. The program includes project support and planning at no cost, and fixed, affordable electricity pricing with a purchase power agreement (PPA).

GovBE icon

Building electrification

Expected to start in April/May, the  GovBE program will help local governments convert methane gas equipment to clean, efficient, electric alternatives with grants of up to $600,000 per year and loans of up to $600,000 per jurisdiction.

Fleet electric vehicles

GovEV provides comprehensive fleet replacement planning and financial resources to help local governments move to  all-electric fleets.

$11.5 million in energy grants are now available to PCE member agencies.
