Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE) is now Portola Valley’s official electricity provider. And what this means to you as a resident or business is good news all the way around.
- All of your electricity is coming from renewable sources
- Your current electric rates are minimally affected
In April 2017, all accounts in Portola Valley were automatically enrolled in our ECO100 program. This means 100% of your electricity comes from renewable sources like wind, solar, geothermal and hydropower — over three times the renewable energy from PG&E. That’s great news for our community and our planet. ECO100 costs a slight premium – typically a few dollars per month more than PG&E.

Remember, you don’t need to do a thing to stay with ECO100, but customers can always opt-down to PCE’s ECOplus. This is a program that offers 50% renewable electricity at rates that are about 1 cent/kWh less than ECO100, and 1/2 cent/kWh less than PG&E rates. Customers can also opt-out anytime and return to PG&E’s electric generation service.
Whichever you choose, rest assured you’ll be contributing to a more energy-efficient Portola Valley and a cleaner world.
