RFP Overview

Peninsula Clean Energy Authority issues this Request for Proposals (RFP) to seek offers from qualified providers of design and engineering services to assist in the evaluation of seven San Mateo County facilities for Distributed Energy Resource (DER) deployments. These deployments are expected to be solar photovoltaic coupled with battery energy storage systems. Key scope of work includes site analysis, DER system sizing, development of preliminary documentation, and other activities to independently inform and assist in a follow-on solicitation for procurement of DERs for these sites. (Please note that the provider selected for this project would not itself be eligible to bid into a follow-on solicitation for procurement of DERs at these sites, but it would serve in an independent advisory role). More broadly, this project seeks to develop learnings and methods to improve the site evaluation and project development process to enable more efficient future procurements of DERs.

This is a two-step RFP. Step 1 is an initial qualification process after which Peninsula Clean Energy will invite selected Respondents to proceed to Step 2 and provide a more detailed response.
